UK price not obtainable
Wix served our checker non-UK prices (quoted as including GST), so we have not recorded a figure rather than print one a UK buyer would not see. Checked 26 Sep 2026.
Verdict
A closed platform that trades control for convenience. The editor is genuinely excellent and the site is fully managed — but there is no export path, so plan on staying. For anything you might want to move later, use WordPress.
Best for: Non-technical people who want a good-looking site live this afternoon and never to touch a server.
Strengths
- Best-in-class drag-and-drop editor with true pixel positioning
- Hosting, SSL, CDN and updates all handled
- Huge template library, built-in bookings, ecommerce and marketing tools
- Wix Studio is a credible agency tier
Weaknesses
- Total lock-in: you cannot export your site to another host
- Cannot change template after publishing without a rebuild
- Ongoing cost forever; you own content but not the platform
- SEO has improved but still trails WordPress for large content sites
